A network of GP Practices has been set up across Stafford, Rugeley and the Seisdon area of Staffordshire offering extended opening hours for pre-bookable and same day routine appointments with a healthcare professional (e.g. Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Pharmacist, GP).

Find out more in our Primary Care Extended Access leaflet.

Extended Hours Sessions

Do you find it difficult to attend surgery during normal working hours due to work commitments? If so then the pre-bookable extended hour’s appointments will make things easier for you. These are pre-bookable appointments designed for patients who would otherwise find it difficult to see a Doctor during normal opening hours due to their work etc.

Appointments  are normally available some late evenings, after 6:30pm and certain early mornings, before 8am. When you book your appointment you will be advised how to gain access to the surgery for your extended hours appointment.

These appointments can be made by telephoning the surgery during normal opening hours and can be booked up to 4 weeks in advance.

Our extended hours appointments which may be subject to change during times of absence of the participating doctors. Please note you may not be able to see your usual doctor during these times.

Please note the surgery reception will not be open during evening extended hours for prescriptions, general enquiries and telephone bookings. We are also unable to provide nursing services during morning or evening extended hours, ie., blood testing, dressings, chaperone etc.

It is most important that you contact the surgery to cancel your extended hours appointment if you are unable to attend as these appointments are limited and can therefore be offered at short notice to other patients who might otherwise have to wait for an available appointment.
